Jim Morin has practiced in the area of general insurance litigation since joining Whitelaw Twining in 2000. His practice includes bodily injury, construction, professional liability, manufactuing risks and class actions, as well as coverage matters.
Jim has appeared at all court levels, including the Courts of Appeal of Alberta and BC and the Supreme Court of Canada. He successfully resolved a class action brought against a meat processor regarding Canada's second largest E. coli outbreak.
Before joining Whitelaw Twining, Jim worked for two insurance companies in a number of senior roles including national claims consultant and general counsel. Jim also practiced insurance law in Calgary, Alberta for seven years prior to obtaining his MBA.

Jim is a keen boater and has recently made the transition from power to sail. He plans to boat and travel extensively now that he and his wife, Diane, are empty nesters.
