Carolien practices in the area of general insurance defence litigation, including the defence of municipalities, professionals and businesses. Her practice includes property damage, subrogation, personal injury, occupiers’ liability and product liability matters. She has experience in administrative law, safety standards regulations, and family law, and has represented clients in Provincial and Supreme Court.

Carolien was a co-op law student at WorkSafeBC for two terms and completed her articles at a downtown Vancouver law firm. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2008 and continued her practice until joining Whitelaw Twining in March 2010.
