Kim Wigmore's practice involves a broad range of insurance litigation with a focus on casualty, professional liability, and transportation-related insurance issues. He regularly advises clients in the defence of personal injury, professional liability, fire loss, construction, and commercial host claims. He also advises on coverage issues.

Kim appears frequently in both the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Federal Court of Canada. He has recently argued a case in the British Columbia Court of Appeal respecting limitation of liability. Other recent work has included the defence of a tug boat operator concerning the grounding of its tow; the defence of an aviation company concerning a catastrophic accident; and the defence of a developer arising out of the failure of a structure.

Kim is a Managing Director of Whitelaw Twining, is the chair of the British Columbia Maritime Section of the Canadian Bar Association, is a Director of the Canadian Transport Lawyers Association, and is an executive member of the Marine Insurance Association of British Columbia. He has written numerous papers and conducts regular seminars for clients, including: E-Discovery in British Columbia; Motor Carrier Law in B.C. is Clarified; Narrowing The Scope of Canadian Maritime Law; Trends in Liquor Host Liability; Small Vessel Monitoring and Inspection Program; Inherent Vice and Fortuitous Events in "All Risks" Policies; and Workers Compensation Legislation and Canadian Maritime Law.
