Nigel Beckmann was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2000 and joined Whitelaw Twining in the same year. He practices in the area of general insurance litigation with an emphasis on occupiers liability and products liability claims. He has appeared before the Provincial, Supreme and Appeal Courts of British Columbia.

Nigel has presented to clients, peers and trade groups on occupiers liability, products liability and commercial host liability issues. Since 2003, he has been a regular volunteer at a probono legal clinic operated by Access to Justice.

Before joining Whitelaw Twining, Nigel worked as a representative of the BC Council of Forest Industries in Tokyo, Japan and later as a lumber broker servicing the Japanese market.
