Bill Neen was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1986 and in the Yukon in 1989.
Bill's practice includes general insurance litigation and focuses on products liability claims, fire claims with a special interest in fraud related cases and personal injury litigation.
Bill has been counsel on many cases before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of the Yukon and the British Columbia Court of Appeal. He also has extensive experience in mediations.
Bill is a past managing director of Whitelaw Twining and leads the firm's products liability group.
His cases have included the successful defence of a products liability case involving a significant loss at a chemical storage facility, the successful prosecution of numerous subrogated actions including a fire loss arising out of design and construction deficiencies, numerous successful resolutions of leaky building litigation through mediation, the successful defence of a fraudulent property claim requiring evidence to be garnered in France and Germany and the defence of several arson cases. He is currently handling a variety of files including class action litigation, food poisoning files, fire subrogations and defences as well as coverage opinions and litigation.
Bill has written a number of papers including papers dealing with the investigation of products liability claims and developments in the law respecting Third Party proceedings.
