Jim Morin has practiced in the area of general insurance litigation since joining Whitelaw Twining in 2000. His practice includes construction law, personal injury matters and the defence of a number of sexual assault claims. He advises insurers on various matters, including coverage issues and defence obligations.
Jim successfully resolved a class action brought against a meat processor regarding an E. Coli outbreak in Western Canada.
Before joining Whitelaw Twining, Jim worked for two insurance companies in a number of senior roles including national claims consultant, claims manager and general counsel. Jim also practiced in insurance law in Calgary, Alberta for several years and was the first University of Calgary law graduate to appear before the Supreme Court of Canada.
